Thank you for visiting our site. It deliberately covers a limited geographical area: limited to UK Postcodes starting with a "BH" (hence the name "bhlocal.com"). The main towns in this part of Dorset and Hampshire are: Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, New Milton, Ringwood, Ferndown, Wimborne, Wareham and Swanage.

The site contains an extensive guide to products and services available and to events held within the area, and a more general listing covering Net sites considered to be of use to people in the locality. There are also classified ads, a forum and a "what's on" as a service to the community.

We set out to produce a site that avoided the normal pitfalls of the Internet.  Our stated aim was to produce a site that would:
